One weird user experience is when you leave your browser at work open for the weekend and then come back on Monday - and then have to wait about 2 minutes while all the notifications from the weekend popup and disappear.
I had already gotten them on other machines. I didn't need them there as well.
Maybe only deliver ones received since the last time I interacted from any session?
Kind of felt like Facebook chat was 4-5 years ago when multiple sessions were really wonky.
