Glitch when leaving fullscreen in MacVim

When you leave fullscreen (non-native mode) with a md file opened there is this strange glitch:

As soon as you resize the window, the text is rendered again and the glitch disappears.
This seems to happen only with this plugin and the old fullscreen mode. Toggling fullscreen with other file types works as usual.
