One thing I miss from linking directly in obsidian is autocompletion of my references. I haven't read the documentation on obsidian plugins yet, but could there be a way for the field Insert reference to use the autocompletion of obsidian for links?

Thank you for your suggestion. It's an interesting idea, and I might look into it in the future.
In the meantime, you can use the convertors in the settings to map book abbreviations to the desired files, which should make linking faster. If you have to only type for example "Gn" to create a link to Genesis, an autocompletion is not all that necessary.
