Describe the bug
The update process continually tries to update, but given permission on my work Mac this fails over and over along with this dialog that keeps showing up:

To Reproduce
Have a Mac where applications cannot control their own updates or require admin privileges to place items in the Applications folder

Expected behavior
Should have an option to down and then manually update or simply notify of a new version. If it continue to fail it should not just keep trying.
