What Happened?

ingress-dns pod never received any DNS Query.

Attach the log file

Minikube runs in a container within Docker Desktop VM (linuxkit distribution).
It's impossible to Connect to Docker containers from macOS host (no port forwarding).

No logs could be attached because the DNS or any call to $(minikube ip) would get dropped.
For example, nmap -p 53 $(minikube ip) -Pn would just be dropped (filtered).

If you have any other solution option, please, share a better one.

Kind regards

(One) Solution

The instructions for ingress-dns fails on Apple Silicon as well. These are the details:

The Kubernetes project currently lacks enough contributors to adequately respond to all issues.

This bot triages un-triaged issues according to the following rules:

  • After 90d of inactivity, lifecycle/stale is applied
  • After 30d of inactivity since lifecycle/stale was applied, lifecycle/rotten is applied
  • After 30d of inactivity since lifecycle/rotten was applied, the issue is closed

You can:

  • Mark this issue as fresh with /remove-lifecycle stale
  • Close this issue with /close
  • Offer to help out with Issue Triage

Please send feedback to sig-contributor-experience at kubernetes/community.
