Prometheus Relabel Configuration For Kube-State-Metrics

Hey guys, I'm a bit lost on how to configure the prometheus configuration to scrape kube state metrics. I have an issue where Grafana shows only some long alphanumeric string that's pulled using kube-state-metrics without a pod or node label.

My configmap looks like

       - job_name: 'kube-state-metrics'
        static_configs:
          - targets: ['kube-state-metrics.kube-system.svc.cluster.local:8080'] 

This is an example of how I want my metrics to show inside my Grafana dashboard.

Could the labels not be present because of a k8s version incompatibility?
