Hallo. Wenn ich an einer englische Überseztung arbeiten möchte, gibt es die Möglichkeit das gleich so zu machen, dass mit zB .po Dateien funktioniert oder irgendwie so, dass es gleich integriert wird und die Anwendung dann direkt auf die Oberfläche wechseln kann zwischen deutsch, englisch und evtl weiteren Sprachen?

Je nachdem, was übersetzt werden soll: Ist es der Inhalt, geht das einfach mit der Translate Extension, geht es um das Interface, helfen die Systemnachrichten (bzw. kann man auch die für Inhaltsteile verwenden). Zum Umschalten der Sprachen hilft der Universal Language Selector.
