Hi @koushikkothagal, just checked the README.md. Wanted to check if you want me to put in steps for OpenJDK (if yes which version? (Java 17 most recent LTS isn't available on openJDK platform) Java 18 and 19 are available.
I did steps with Oracle Java 17. I can do for some flavor of OpenJDK as well (like Azul Zulu or anything you suggest).
Also, I am not sure about Docker videos for Java setup (don't have too much exposure there, however, I can look it up, but will take some time.)

I'll follow same inputs for steps for setting up Java over Linux as well.

  • I suggest we stick to OpenJDK
  • Yes, it doesn't have to be 17. Feel free to use the latest version - which is 19 right now.
  • Skip making any videos or any Docker setup. Just the JDK install and verification steps should help.

Imagine you are teaching a newcomer how to setup Java. What are the things you'd tell them, both to do and to verify? That should be the contents of the section.

Thank you. I'll keep a note of this while listing down the steps.
