I just tested this with BBEdit 15.1.1 and Marked 2.6.33 and it worked fine; I did not see the error. Can you give some more info about your setup? If possible it would be great it you could share your markdown file.

So I think I realized the issue after some more testing after seeing this note. I think I was having issues when it was a new document that was not 'saved' if I saved it first it was fine. I think I was thinking I could use it as more of a scratchpad with a temp file. I'm going to do a little more testing and see if I can figure out a better way to report the 'mistaken' usage maybe.

There are a few applications that are natively integrated with Marked using the Marked Streaming Preview feature. When apps (like Drafts) include this native integration, they can stream changes to Marked without having to watch a file, which means Marked can preview "scratchpad" type data that hasn't been saved to the filesystem yet.

Most apps, including BBEdit, require a saved file for Marked to preview them. Marked will watch the file for changes, but it only updates when changes are saved.

Looking forward to hearing more about the results of your testing.
