The last tarball release was almost two years ago. It would be great to have a new release out on GitHub so that the desktop client can be updated in various operating systems. In order to allow users to install the client without a technical background, please offer a Flatpak release (preferably to be hosted on flathub) and an additional AppImage. Thank you.

@webratte That's a pity. Is there anyone else with rights to release new versions?

Hi,
it's not that I'm dead:) I just don't have really time for this project anymore. (And i'm doing Java development full time now, so continuing that in my free time is not that appealing to be honest.)

I don't think a new release makes sense because there was not enough development since the last one.

I can look into building a flatpak package.
Found https://github.com/flatpak/flatpak.github.io/blob/81bb006fd96b9a13170bd876316eb5a4eb48244b/source/bundling-a-java-app.html.haml.markdown so far. If you know about better/newer tutorials or an example project, please share.

For Appimage there is https://github.com/AppImage/AppImageKit/wiki/Bundling-Java-apps which should be sufficient if there are no pitfalls.

Hi, for me it would be interesting to have the group chat also in the desktop version. Is this the right place to ask the developer for that?
