RTSP motion events

I'm trying to figure out how to trigger motion events in unifi protect for my wyze camera. I know that I can use frigate or shinobi separately for motion detection and storage but that kind of defeats the purpose of using unifi cam proxy. Does anyone know if I send the stream to frigate then retrans using rtmp does that also pass along motion events (like #43 (comment) mentions).
If not does anyone know how to process an rtsp stream to include a motion event?
