I've enabled the secret service integration and it works with other programs.
When I open Remmina, an entry appears in the currently connected applications list, with the path /usr/bin/xdg-dbus-proxy.
But I receive no prompt to load any password. I tried adding new entries and saving their password, it keeps asking for the password every time.
Saved passwords work fine with gnome-keyring-daemon.

dbus-monitor shows a bunch of errors:

I tried with both the flatpak and the snap version. The application path shown in the secret service integration panel is different, but the result is the same.

Does saving passwords to keepassxc from Remmina work?

And I'm using Remmina 1.4.35

No, neither saving nor loading passwords from KeepassXC works in Remmina.
It works fine with Gnome Keyring though.

OK. Any idea what the dbus-monitor log means?

The dbus log indicates that keepassxc isn't available to your Remmina. If Remmina is installed as a Flatpak or snap you may need to open up access.

Could Remmina be able to read and write from the Gnome keyring and still not have the right permissions to access KeepassXC?
The snap seems to already have all the relevant permissions.

I'll try again with the flatpak version just in case…

Edit: Just tried with the apt version, although it's a bit older, and it worked. 🤷
So yeah, it seems to be an issue with sandboxed versions of Remmina.
