Replace the gtk version with the qt version from official arch repo. It will be easier to install.
I accidentally installed the old vimiv from pacman, and it caused error because it was using my vimiv-qt config.

Thank you for your interest in vimiv and sorry for this confusion. We are well aware of this mess with the naming of the two applications. It is planned that the vimiv-gtk version gets deprecated and silenced once vimiv-qt 1.0 gets released.
I am not sure what steps are required or if it is even possible to simply replace a package from the official repo. But it is definitely something we have to keep in mind. Probably @karlch is better informed and knows more about the procedure.
I can only support what @jcjgraf already mentioned. We will fully deprecate the gtk version once we release version 1.0 here. Whatever makes it into the official repositories is not directly in our hands, we could certainly do an inquiry though, but I would prefer to wait for 1.0 as this would also be a "natural" step going forward in the numbering.
