Need help on how we can change consumer offset for a topic to latest

So the main requirement that my application has is to be able to start consuming the latest messages from a topic. Is there a way to change a running kafka consumer's offset to the latest ?

You can use a new consumer group ID.
Or implement your own offset commit callback if your application is stateful.
