Fuzzy Finder cursor is offset

My fuzzy finder input has an offset cursor most of the time. Here's a screenshot:

The actual cursor here is at the very end. I say sometimes, because unfortunately it's intermittent. However it seems to happen often enough (90% of the time?) that it's easy to get it into that state.
