For the Level 4 testing, are there specific LOD requirements that the vendors should be targeting?
Some systems (e.g., steel superstructure and concrete) seem reasonable to represent at LOD 300 or LOD 350, whereas other systems (e.g., drainage, luminaires, fall protection, expansion joints, etc.) might be better represented at LOD 200 since only design intent must be conveyed. LOD 400 does not seem achievable if the source documents include only contract drawings, which themselves are not intended to be directly fabricated from (e.g., a precast concrete manufacturer's engineer would be responsible for further developing the engineer of record's design from the basic requirements in the drawings up to a point suitable for fabrication).
For systems and components that do require a Level of Development higher than LOD 300, is it suitable for only parts of the system or some of the components to be represented at the highest required LOD? For instance, representing multiple steel diaphragms whose geometry and components are repetitive at LOD 350 might be unnecessary work for the purposes of this testing.
