1.0 checklist

No new significant issues have been raised since the 0.7.0 release mid 2023. If this continues to be the case until mid-2024, a new 1.0 version will be released then (as per 1.0 all the things).

Previously this was my 1.0 checklist. The remaining todos should still be done, but I don't think are necessary for 1.0

• revive or remove the deprecated namespaces
• move interval and calendar namespaces out of alpha (having addressed all open issues about intervals)
• fill in all empty sections of the documentation
• docstrings on public functions. Can be lifted from tick docs
• fix all the issues marked 1.0
• remove tick.alpha.api ns - use core instead
• have +/- only work for amounts of time: Period+Duration, not dates as it does in alpha.api)
• remove parse fn from api

2 remaining items:

• docs. can be improved as and when required
• intervals. nothing to say this will ever be revisited - so shouldn't block 1.0
