Does propertyDependencies support nested properties?

Does the new propertyDependencies keyword allow you to discriminate based on the value of a nested property? For example:

No, it's just one level. I don't think it's possible to support multiple levels. There's no way for the implementation to know if something is intended to be a nested condition or a schema. For something like this you'd have to fall back to if/then.

JSON Pointers are little problematic because they supposed to be relative the document root. However, Relative JSON Pointers are designed to be used based on their position in a document, so that might be feasible. The part that concerns me about that is that relative pointers can point backwards in the JSON tree which I think could end up being difficult to implement or create some weird edge cases. I think someone would have to implement it and try it to see what we can learn.

And forgive me for the simple questions, but would using a relative pointer be allowed currently or would the spec for propertyDepedencies need to be updated to indicate that the key could be a relative JSON pointer?

Yes, that's a relative pointer that would make sense.

No, the current spec for propertyDependencies doesn't allow pointers of any kind, but this keyword is still in the proposal stage, it's not too late to discuss changes.
