The state of the art in "server-less" or "noBackend" apps has continuously been changing over the last year and will continue to do so in 2014. In this talk, I plan to cover the best practices for building single page apps without any backend code. I'll cover some of the popular technologies that help you with this:
a) MVC frameworks like Angular, Ember on the frontend
b) Hosting services like Site44, Harp
c) Backend services like Hoodie, Meteor, Firebase
I gave a similar talk at DenverJS last year (http://proness.kix.in/talks/denverjs13-serverless.pdf), but I suspect a lot will change content wise since there have been several significant developments since then.
