ADS-B Receiver Project v2.6.1 ✈️

Much Needed Fixes After a Rush Job

The following images were created using Raspbian Stretch Lite version November 2017 and includes all available updates as of February 28th, 2018. The images comes with either dump1090-mutability or dump1090-fa and PiAware preinstalled and ready to install the ADS-B Receiver Project Portal. More features can be added by executing the file install.sh after configuring your chosen version of dump1090 and the portal.

Note that SSH is enabled by default on both of the images.

This release includes many major and minor fixes to v2.6.0 which was rushed out the door after a long absence from the project on my part. The included fixes are outlined in detail in this releases CHANGELOG. Please note that the development of v3.x has been started. This being said new features added to v2.x will be limited as my focus shifts towards the rewrite which will be released as v3.0.0.

The following images were created using Raspbian Stretch Lite version September 2017 and includes all available updates as of October 21st, 2017. The images comes with either dump1090-mutability or dump1090-fa and PiAware preinstalled and ready to install the ADS-B Receiver Project Portal. More features can be added by executing the file install.sh after configuring your chosen version of dump1090 and the portal.

Note that SSH is enabled by default on both of the images.

This release should mark the end of the v2.x major version as well as the end of "bash based" for the most part as development starts to focus on a more simplified web based form. Any v2.x releases from here on out will contain only bug fixes or feature requests deemed to be a higher priority which need to be added before the release of v3.x.

This image was created using Raspbian Jessie Lite version November 2016 and includes all available updates as of December 5th, 2016. The images comes with either dump1090-mutability or dump1090-fa and PiAware preinstalled and ready to install the ADS-B Receiver Portal. More features can be added by executing the file install.sh after configuring dump1090-mutability and the portal using the same command.

Note that SSH is enabled by default on both of the images.

This release adds the ability to add custom links to a more compact navigation bar via the administrative interface. There are also some additional installation options added to the installation scripts allowing easier customization when installing items. Many other minor additions and fixes were added to this release as well. Please consult the file CHANGELOG.md for a full list of changes.

The advanced portal installation option which is still in development is only meant for developers and testers at this time. Unless you plan on contributing to the development of these feature or willing to expect and report issues which may still exist it is highly recommended you install the lite feature set when installing the portal.

Easier updates. Another dump1090 option.

This image was created using Raspbian Jessie Lite version September 2016 and includes all available updates as of September 28th, 2016. The images comes with either dump1090-mutability or dump1090-fa and PiAware preinstalled and ready to install the ADS-B Receiver Portal. More features can be added by executing the file install.sh after configuring dump1090-mutability and the portal using the same command.

This release not only adds support for dump1090-fa but should also make updates somewhat easier.

The advanced portal installation option which is still in development is only meant for developers and testers at this time. Unless you plan on contributing to the development of these feature or willing to expect and report issues which may still exist it is highly recommended you install the lite feature set when installing the portal.

This image was created using Raspbian Jessie Lite version May 2016 and includes all available updates as of September 15th, 2016. The image comes with dump1090-mutability preinstalled and ready to install the ADS-B Receiver Portal. More features can be added by executing the file install.sh after configuring dump1090-mutability and the portal using the same command.

This release should clear the way for the further development of the advanced portal features which I am sure many are looking forward to.

This being said... And for what should be the last time, The advanced portal installation option which is still in development is only meant for developers and testers at this time. Unless you plan on contributing to the development of these feature or willing to expect and report issues which may still exist it is highly recommended you install the lite feature set when installing the portal.

ADS-B Exchange MLAT anyone?

This image was created using Raspbian Jessie Lite version May 2016 and includes all available updates as of August 31st, 2016. The image comes with dump1090-mutability and the ADS-B Receiver Portal preinstalled. More features can be added by executing the file install.sh after configuring dump1090-mutability and the portal using the same command.

*This release adds support for FlightAware's PiAware v3.x as well install the updated Planefinder.net client. Also instead of configuring PiAware to send MLAT data to ADS-B Exchange, mlat-client is now built and configured to send and receive MLAT data with ADS-B Exchange's MLAT server(s).

The advanced portal installation option which is still in development is only meant for developers at this time. Unless you plan on contributing to the development of this feature it is highly recommended you install the lite version of the portal.*

ADS-B Receiver Image v2.1.0 ✈️

It has been awhile...

Due to a serious bug found within the piaware.sh script contained in this release it is recommended that this release not be used at this time. Instead it is recommended that users wait until the release of v2.2.0 which has already been merged into the master branch with an image to be made available shortly.

This image was created using Raspbian Jessie Lite version May 2016 and includes all available updates as of August 31st, 2016. The image comes with dump1090-mutability and the ADS-B Receiver Portal preinstalled. More features can be added by executing the file install.sh after configuring dump1090-mutability and the portal using the same command.

This release adds support for FlightAware's PiAware v3.x as well install the updated Planefinder.net client. Also PiAware is no longer configured to send MLAT data to ADS-B Exchange. All other changes pertain to the advanced portal installation option which is still in development.

This release contains some minor fixes as well as a major fix for remote MySQL installations.

The F.I.A.T. Release... (Fix It Again Tony)

This image was created using Raspbian Jessie Lite version March 2016 and includes all available updates as of May 12th, 2016. The image comes with dump1090-mutability and the ADS-B Receiver Portal preinstalled. More features can be added by executing the file install.sh after configuring dump1090-mutability and the portal using the same command.

This release fixes advanced data storage features as well as adds support for Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. There are a few minor additions which have been added in this release as well. All change can be found in the file CHANGELOG.md for this release.

The Advanced Features Fix Release

This image was created using Raspbian Jessie Lite version March 2016 and includes all available updates as of May 1st, 2016. The image comes with dump1090-mutability and the ADS-B Receiver Portal preinstalled. More features can be added by executing the file install.sh after configuring dump1090-mutability and the portal using the same command.

This release mainly focuses on fixes pertaining to the advanced portal features which should only be installed if using a durable data storage solution. A lite version is available during setup which should be selected by those using more fragile storage solutions such as SD cards.
