Donate buttons have raised less than $100 in total, I would love to work on this project more often and get v2 out the door but time poor at the moment.

Ideas:

Anyone have an opinion on this?

Open Collective seems interesting!
Per-site license; good luck, because there are far more powerful CDNs that deliver lighter images for responsive use cases,, eg http://cloudinary.com/cookbook/face_detection_based_image_cropping

I've seen bountys for fixing an issue maybe that will help. But betting funded for OSS project is like winning the lottery. I know the pain; on another programming platform I spent 1000 hours OSS & didn't see more than $100.

I found "$5 per New function, enhancement, customizations." I've seen on this Patreon profile.

This is awesome! 5$ from me! tho I not a big fan of the "Per-site license" idea as I see it as a big stick in the wheel for development and making a good community. But maybe we could help more people to know about this project

Thanks @BenjaminHoegh, just in time for Christmas too! I appreciate it. 😄

For an update on this topic, I've accepted that trying to earn income to offset time spent on this project is probably a lost cause. Despite a prominent call to action, Benjamin's donation was the first one of 2018. Hopefully one day I'll have a burst of inspiration and energy and do a big update but it will probably stay in limbo until then.

In the mean time, please do use the v2-dev branch! It should offer much better performance, and uses a more familiar css-like coordinate system.
