not able to get configpath connected to github folders

Hi all, I have no issue with --configpath set to a local folder. However linking it to my own forked files at github does not work. This would be more practical though, to merge message definition file versions.
I have:

I have tried 'copy path' and 'copy permalink'

Any views?
