Chapter deleted on source keeps chapter in app, refresh fixes, time reverts the fix #1397

Steps to reproduce

Unsure but I have sync active, might be a possible cause
This happens to me on mangadex and manga plus but I don't think it's specific to them, just that they delete chapters most often

(Unrelated note but is there a way to clear the cache of specific series? Or maybe all? Might be a fix)

Expected behavior

Chapter should disappear, unless downloaded

Actual behavior

Non functional chapter remains untill refresh but reappears after some time

Sounds like Sync, try this (if you are using Google Drive for the sync service):

  • Go to SY Settings > Data and storage, hit "Clear Sync Data from Google Drive"
  • Afterwards, refresh the entries for accurate chapter list again, then sync

(Unrelated note but is there a way to clear the cache of specific series? Or maybe all? Might be a fix)
Just clearing the database (SY Settings > Advanced) might not help for this issue unless you do the above afterwards, and would require you to unsave the bugged entries first to clear said cache/details for that entry.
