Task Context

There are a good number of test files that have issues reported about them from the Codacy static code analyzer.

Acceptance Criteria / Goals

The goal of this task is to address the various issues reported about this project's test files. This can either come in the form of addressing the issue in the test code or by deciding that the issue should be ignored or dismissed.
