Also, should probably check if the default config file that's created for it is still too small to show all material options.

According to someone on Discord, some core files are missing and using the editor folder from Rebirth can fix it, but this does not work for everyone.

The editor seems to work fine on the main branch (at least for me, on Wine).

Tried that but it didn't work, however

running it in compatibility mode with windows 7 seemed to fix it

Seems to work now without the compatiblilty fix

So you're no longer experiencing this crash?
Some users in the modding channel in the FG discord have still been running into this crash on the current version (setting compatibility mode fixes it), but I cannot figure out why it doesn't affect everyone.

Yeah this is weird
