Found this page https://docs.openrewrite.org/v1beta/javatemplate probably explaining how to use it in Java. I won't look much at that this since it would be really time demanding and I don't see the need for that in JHLite (but I'm probably wrong here) |

I also don't know if it is needed or would be beneficial to the current solution. Maybe I find some time (some day) to try it out |

Yes, we could have a quick look to see if it would be better than our current implemention Anyway, with our current implementation, what I can say:

Hey @pascalgrimaud @DamnClin ,
as Julien mentioned it, I did look again at openrewrite. They have a lot of recipes already (e.g. adding a maven dependency). Maybe it is worth a look, but I am not sure how to execute certain recipes within a java application, the documentation is tailored towards maven/gradle plugin execution. But if we could create a recipe for every command you showed me during the offsite that sounds quite cool.
As the maintainers of open rewrite already talked to us (with regard to upgrade jhipster applications and there is already a recipe for removing a security issue) they might be interested in corporation on jhipster lite maybe.
