I wonder if we can have a emulator server to play the maps offline.

Just skip the battle net . Download the client and map then you can get in game just one step.
this really help more new players get into Hots. just beating some AI bot is enough.
When there are enough players ,I think there can be a mod community where people can exchange their maps. trying new things .
Maybe some great coder can do some emulator support co-op games. that will be good old war3 time then.
