memory overruns

When I noticed that my system is going very slow, I checked chrome://memory page and found mining-monitor using 2,680,572k of RAM, so I have to stop the extension. Amount of used memory has been growing, during waiting beside non-responding system (out of ram and high iowait due to swap) it raised by cca 100 MB per 30 minutes. I don't know how to track or debug this problem, but something is wrong.
