Channel width? Both padding and fader widget width?

Coming back to getting an audio workflow on the go, I'm realising the mixer can be a bit finickety to use at times.

I'm just needing a basic session with minimal channels, so having more than 2/3 of the full-screened app be blank makes me think there is worth in being able to set a minimum channel width. Might this be possible? This could include optionally adding some padding on the left and right of each channel.
