Please check that this issue hasn't been reported before.

  • I searched previous Bug Reports didn't find any similar reports.

Expected Behavior

Editing the texts of tasks directly could result in rendered tasks on timeline view, and the reversed action could modify the texts.

Current behaviour

Cannot edit tasks on a timeline or weekly view on Android devices at Obsidian version 1.8.3
Editing the texts of tasks directly could result in rendered tasks on timeline view, yet the reversed action failed to modify the texts.
long press the empty space failed to bring up a panel to create new tasks like how it performs on Windows devices.

The current editing experience on mobile devices could be improved

Steps to reproduce

1 download obsidian android app
2 install
3 create a vault
4 download day planner plugin and tasks plugin
5 enable daily note
6 create a task and view it on the timeline view
7 press the task and attempt to edit
8 failed

  • iPhone/iPad
  • Linux
  • macOS
  • Windows

Obsidian Version

1.8.3

Possible solution

Long-press the tasks to show buttons instead of jumping to the tasks, and fix the failure on reverse editing of the task.
