Since AWS has a fork of elasticsearch and kibana, when using them in AWS it would be best to be able to use them in Digital Ocean k8s clusters and local dev as well, as they have diverged quite a lot (even before the rename of elasticsearch opendistro to opensearch), and features can be completely different (e.g. opensearch's ISM is different to elasticsearch's ILM for index policies), and the dashboard menu format and functionality as well
