The current implementation of the interfaucet is based on IPR v1, which relies on type-1 packets, which are deprecated (any thus may not arrive at their destination). If a new version of IPR is defined (see interledger/rfcs#366), then Interfaucet should support it.

Since the interfaucet gets to decide how much it will send you, there's no need for putting an amount into your faucet request. You could just post your ILP address + some fulfillment you generate ad-hoc, and the interfaucet will use that. If you want more, send another request.
