Feature: Add in IDL preferences and tie into launching sessions

We need additional IDL preferences imported into the extension. Following our pattern from code formatting and styling, we might be able to represent this as a nice table.

We delayed this and you can do this at a basic level with the environment variables when launching IDL.

If we have requests for a more integrated settings solution we can revisit.
