Support for basic linter

Would happily support you building a linter...couldn't build one to save my life so if you can start it then I can add improvements using your code as an example

@imrichardcole, that is frickin' awesome....I for one would like to put your sample code to use straight away...love that you're using logstash logfile and real data. Combined with logstash --auto-reload this is a killer feature for debugging.
