Can't Edit Original Event #86
Comments
This isn’t terrible, but from a UX standpoint, I think this is a “Better to
not use it at all” situation for us, considering that it requires users to
remember that they can do so, and manually switch back and forth. For some,
this is no issue. For Anyone who is in our situation, this is confusing and
a hassle.
Thanks for the advice, though!

This is already possible. There's an icon up at the top-right of the
browser that you can click to revert to the original mode.

@zlanich No word from Amy so I've made some fixes and re-published the extension, one of the many fixes is this issue you've raised: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/cal-merge-for-google-cale/dchpdbljalbfnelbfbgncfidhjoibkah |

This extension is great for reducing clutter, but in our case, we manage a bunch of shared company calendars, then invite ourselves and others into meetings on those calendars. Once I accept the invite, it merges the 2, only exposing the one on my work calendar. When I click "Edit" on the event, it opens only the one on my work calendar, so I can't reschedule or change anything about the original event.
We need a way to get to the original event--perhaps on hover, it splits them back apart so you can choose one or something.
Thanks!
