This also contains information relevant to the ixmp_source, ixmp, message_data, and message_doc repositories; to keep information organized, the wikis on those repositories are disabled.

Roadmap

Below are a variety of more enhancements or changes that have been proposed for the MESSAGEix ecosystem. Some of these are also discussed in existing message_ix, ixmp, and/or ixmp_source issues.

• Develop and publish a release schedule/strategy (all).
• Add a time index to the relation_activity parameter (message_ix).
• ‘Decouple’ message_ix from ixmp_source:
  • Move MESSAGE-related code (such as the code that sets map_tec_time) from ixmp_source to message_ix (all).
  • See ixmp#182.
• Use Travis for Windows continuous integration testing. Currently we use AppVeyor. There have been periodic attempts to do this, e.g. ixmp#184—however, we will wait until it seems easier than maintaining AppVeyor.

• Reporting requirements, use-cases, and update plan.
