Reason

Longer-running verification and validation simulations are being completed as part of developing the SPS capabilities within MALAMUTE. These simulations represent more robust exercising of the MALAMUTE simulation capabilities, and adding some input files from these simulations will help capture these efforts within the MALAMUTE repository.

Design

  • Add validation input files, from comparisons with DCS5 machine data, and verification input files, from comparison with other software, to the examples/sps/ directory of MALAMUTE.
  • Develop companion documentation to summarize the simulation setup, running, and results

Impact

Captures highlights of the verification and validation efforts with relevant input files. These added input files can also be leveraged in tutorials and examples for user-learning documentation.
