MontePy at M&C 2025

MontePy will be at the International Conference on Mathematics and Computational Methods Applied to Nuclear Science and Engineering (M&C 2025). First, we have partnered with the OpenMC developers to offer the workshop: Python Tools for Monte Carlo: OpenMC and MontePy. This will include an interactive demonstration of using MontePy for editing complex MCNP models using Jupyter notebooks. In addition, the developers' paper: "A Practical Guide to Parsing MCNP inputs: Lessons Learned from Implementing Context-Free Parsing in Montepy" has been accepted. This paper will discuss the difficulty of parsing MCNP input files, and some practical approaches that MontePy uses to simplify this process.
