Second lock screen freeze when waking #10
Comments
Oh and I suppose it's worth saying – this wasn't happening before YoNTMA was installed (and allowed to make changes to the power settings etc.), but it does happen both on battery and on AC (just not every time). Does that mean it isn't YoNTMA itself, but perhaps an issue with the power and hibernation settings YoNTMA made to OS X? The grey lock screen works every time, and a significant percentage of the time the second one is frozen (near 50%). Thanks |
hmm, are the devs active here? for what it's worth 10.9.4 appears to have fixed the above issue. a separate issue is that some percentage of the time, the laptop is fully powered off when i try to wake it. doesn't bother me much though, it boots in a few seconds. and surely that's as or more secure than "hibernation" boot to grey wake screen. |
I'm around, but unable to devote time to YoNTMA for a bit (moving and increased work responsibilities). I also upgraded to 10.9.4 and noticed the message about sleep wake failures, so hopefully this other problems go away for good... You mean when you wake it, it powers on for the first time? I think that's a crash during either hibernation or waking that causes the laptop to reboot. Sometimes I will wake the laptop and it will perform a bootup and give me a crash dialog... |
Sometimes, and I really can't figure out a pattern, the second lock screen (the 'regular' OS X lock screen after the grey hibernation one is unlocked) is frozen when it appears. The cursor never appears, and the machine doesn't respond to keypresses or trackpad movement, and it has to be hard rebooted. Fully loaded 11" MacBook Air 2013 running OS X 10.9.3. I've looked at Console but I can't really make head nor tail of it. Thanks.
