Accessing land cover and cropland files

Thanks for the great tutorial. However, I would like to access the land cover and cropland files, but they do not seem to be in the Amazon catalog. How can these be accessed? It's listed in the FAQ that they are available.

I also realize that I can use the iSDA API to get cropland values for a specific lat/lng, but how would I do this for a region (i.e. polygon)? Thanks!
