Most radios have the ability to implement dual rates (triple rates on a 3-pos switch), which set the maximum travel for each control surface. And each rate can have its own expo. iNav has profiles, which include a lot more than rates and expo. The ability to change rates and expo mid-flight is useful when you want to switch from a highly-aerobatic maneuver, which may want high rates, to a smooth landing, which may work better with low rates, for example.
iNav allows you to assign three sets of rates and expo (and a whole lot of other things) in profiles. But you can't select a profile with a switch on the transmitter. Using the stick commands to change profile mid-flight is not likely to end well.
It would be useful if rates / expo (or maybe even profiles) were selectable in the Modes tab. For example, one switch on the radio could be used to switch between Profiles 1, 2, or 3 as a mode. Or maybe profiles could be left untouched, but rates and expo separated into something different that could be selected in the Modes tab.
