Currently it is hard coded to 5.

You mean adding a optional parameter with a default value to the recent updates functions? This way we may use config.yaml to configure the number of issues, PRs etc

@arsulegai Can you please clarify what you mean by "option to restrict the number of entries"? Do we need to make a configuration option to limit the number of entries?
