Join crashes when run on ESP32-C3

Tested the husarnet_simple_webserver.ino on a esp32_c3 device and it crashes when join is called.
Board is a Olimex esp32_c3_DevKit-LiPo
Arduino is installed today, and all is updated to latest.
Husarnet ESP32 2.0.0-beta5

esp32 3.1.1

Only changes to example is to set my wifi details and set my JOIN_CODE

Tested to set "Erase All flash before sketch upload" to enabled, did not help.
Tested to build and run on a ESP32 board that uses a ESP32 WROOM module and it works OK.
