Companion App Logs:

**Screenshot or video of problem:**

**Additional information:**

When I open the android companion app, it opens and runs normally until I access the sidebar. When I tap it, the app freezes then goes to a back screen and takes me back to my lock screen in aatter of seconds. If I then unlock my phone it runs as normal.

I've cleared the cache, I'm running the latest versions

Up to date.
Latest HA
Latest Companion App
Unsure of last working version

This was happening with Google calendar also for a while. When I clicked to edit an event but this hasn't happened since the app has been updated.

Can email logs. Wasn't comfortable to share on forum.

yea that should not happen, the app should continue to work. Why doesnt it work? what error do you get? The purpose of this test is to make sure custom stuff is not causing an issue

i mean to put the HA server in safe mode, and not the phone itself ;)

Oh, sorry sorry! Ironically, since putting my phone into safe mode and coming back out, it's not crashing any more.... Let me monitor for a few days and see if reproducible with HA in safe mode. Thanks for your advice
