COMPILING - The short version.
Assuming you have QT4 installed (which you should, because this is a QT4
app). If you don't have it, download the appropriate package for your
Operating System at http://trolltech.com
Check file QT-VERSION to check the current version of QT I used to compile
(since they are not always backwards compatible, this may explain some problems
you may be experiencing).

I. MacX / Linux
---------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Open your favorite terminal.
2. cd to the src/ directory.
3. Execute the following line to generate a QT project file.
qmake -project -o equip.pro
4. MacX users have a choice here, Linux users go ahead and execute
the following command:
qmake
MacX users, if you wish to compile using GNU make, you must specify,
by doing the following:
qmake -spec macx-g++
MacX users, if you wish to compile using Apple Xcode, the default
`qmake' command (same command for linux users listed above) will use
the Xcode specification. If it does not try using:
qmake -spec macx-xcode
For more details on qmake, consult the QT4 Manual.
5. Next, compile the application using `make' (MacX-G++ spec, and Linux
users). MacX XCode users can open the .xcodeproj file in XCode and
compile using the "Build" button with the toolbox icon.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
II. Windows
---------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Open the QT Command Prompt (It will be in your start menu)
2. cd to the src/ directory of this package.
3. Execute the following commands:
qmake -project -o equip.pro
qmake
make

III. HELP!!! MY ICONS ARE MISSING!!!
---------------------------------------------------------------------
If the Equipmant program icon is not showing up you must manually edit
the equip.pro file (after it is created in the `qmake -project` step)
and add the following lines to the end of the file:
ICON=equip.icns
RC_FILE=equip.rc
The first line adds the icns icons file for macx, the second is the
resource file for windows. At present I'm not sure how to create an
icon for Linux, when I figure it out it will be added.
