<xs:element name="birthDate" type="xs:date" minOccurs="1" />

I need to map xsd:date to java.lang.String and also use custom Adapter. Fine with

<xjc:javaType name="java.lang.String" xmlType="xs:date"
			adapter="soa.commons.utils.XmlDateAdapter" />

But Hyperjaxb still adds

    @Temporal(TemporalType.DATE)

How can I override default ?
