Update Algolia DocSearch on hexo.io? #5623

Thanks for your efforts! However, Hexo provides so much freedom and customizations for the theme that many themes are drastically different from each other. Not all Hexo theme uses
Thanks for the head-up! It seems that the current Algolia search instance is managed by @tommy351. But we could probably just apply for a new instance anyway.

Hello Hexo team!
My name is James, I manage DocSearch (https://docsearch.algolia.com/) at Algolia. I notice that each week I get several new Hexo blogs requesting to use DocSearch on their own site, that's been great to see. Recently I've created a specific crawler template (https://docsearch.algolia.com/docs/templates) so that results are a little better and am testing that out now.
I noticed that on hexo.io DocSearch is being used. However, I noticed that it is using the legacy appId which means that, unless someone on your end has stood up the legacy scraper (https://docsearch.algolia.com/docs/migrating-from-legacy/#scraper) the results should be >2 years out of date. Also it is using the old style of drop down and old logo.

Is there any desire to work with me to get an updated version of DocSearch running on hexo.io?
I'm not a front end dev so I'd need help on your end to implement the newer UI. Heres what the process would look like:
