first few seconds of musimusic plays broken up

Perhaps a buffering issue, but everu song i play is choppy for the first few seconds. maybe sone exrra data need buffered before playback starts.

I'm aware of this problem, I simply have no idea of how to approach it. Only idea I've had up until now is perhaps creating a custom gstreamer pipeline with larger buffers, but I'm not even sure whether that's the problem.
