Multiple git.exe instances

You can find session logs by date and version information in:
~/.config/org.sparkleshare.SparkleShare/logs/ on Linux and macOS
C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\org.sparkleshare.SparkleShare\logs\ on Windows

To help us help you, please include the logs from around the time the issue occurred, as well as the SparkleShare version and info about your OS (displayed at the top of the log files). Then, tell us roughly in these steps what went wrong:
• SparkleShare version: 1.4.0, Operating system: Win32NT (Microsoft Windows NT 6.2.9200.0)

What happened:

"git.exe - Application Error" (attached) error after an inconsistent amount of time after a reboot of system or restart of SparkleShare.
Exploring of Task Manager shows multiple instances of "Git for Windows (32 bit)" (over 80 counts, and a new task started approx. every 1-2 seconds). "Git for Windows (32 bit)" continues to start new instances after closing SparkleShare. Final image is after approx. 2 minutes of closing SparkleShare in the taskbar. Closing the top-most "Git for Windows (32 bit) closes all other tasks and stops the starting of newer tasks. Memory usage prior to forcing a stop exceeds 60% RAM usage (which would continue to rise) and drops to a nominal 30% RAM usage.
