Description
If you want to provision a partner interconnect connection between Google Cloud and Equinix, you cannot use Terraform to configure the BGP ASN number in Google Cloud as part of the provisioning process.
While using google_compute_interconnect_attachment of the type "PARTNER", a default BGP confiruation is already created which cannot be updated by Terraform. A new functionality must be developed urgently to have the ability to update the ASN number via Terraform, otherwise there is no point in having IaC for Partner Interconnect.
A similar/identical issue (#12630) was raised more than a year ago, but it seems nothing happened ever since.
